CSKA boss Slutskiy confirms Leicester bid for Musa

The Foxes saw an offer for the Nigeria international rejected in January but the player himself has now been asking to hold talks with manager Claudio Ranieri this summer

CSKA Moscow manager Leonid Slutskiy has revealed Leicester City have made a bid for striker Ahmed Musa worth around €30 million.

The Foxes had an offer for the Nigeria international rejected in the January transfer window, with the player himself admitting he was happy to see out the season in Russia.

The 23-year-old went onto finish the campaign with 18 goals in all competitions as CSKA secured the Russian Premier League title ahead of underdogs FC Rostov.

But Slutskiy has now confirmed the player is actively looking to speak to Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri after they secured the Premier League title.

"The British club offered a bit less than €30m," he told Match TV. "Musa came to me a few days ago and asked when he [Ranieri] is back for the holidays and I told him I do not know, I do not know Ranieri."
