The ex-Scotland international has hailed the intelligence of the teenage forward and does not think he will remain a central striker as his career continues to develop
Former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin has heaped praise on Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford and compared his skills to Neymar.
Teenager Rashford has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top since making his United debut in February and now finds himself in England's preliminary squad ahead of Euro 2016.
Nevin believes some of the fancy footwork being shown by the 18-year-old can only be matched in the world game by Barcelona star Neymar.
And the ex-Scotland international is under the impression Rashford can continue to impress moving forward, though his future may not necessarily as the spearhead of an attacking formation.
"What really jumped out at me was in the last game of the season, he was out on the right-hand side and did a dummy that was like a flick." he told BBC Radio Five Live.
"The only other player I know that can do that is Neymar. It was stunning.

"When you watch a guy three or four times, and we’ve had this chat about Riyad Mahrez at the start of the season when I thought we needed to watch out for him, I feel the same way about him.
"There’s an intelligence about him, and he’s not trying it all at the same time. He’s not doing every trick in the book. There’s a lot to come from this kid, and I don’t necessarily think it’s all going to be as a centre-forward."
