Harry Kane is confident that England have the firepower to succeed at Euro 2016, as he pointed to his goal record to show he and Jamie Vardy are just as potent as the continent's best hitmen.
Both the Tottenham man and Vardy were on target during the Three Lions' 2-1 win over Turkey on Sunday, as they kicked off their France preparations for a win.
Kane netted 25 goals during the Premier League season, with the Leicester star adding 24 of his own as he led the Foxes to an incredible triumph.
"Yes, definitely," the striker affirmed when asked by Goal if the England forwards could be considered in the same category as the likes of Bayern and Poland star Robert Lewandowski.
"When you have got a pair of strikers who have scored 25 and 24 Premier League goals it shows that we have top strikers. We both scored again on Sunday and scoring is a good habit to have.
"Yeah, we are up there, we are confident, we are both scoring goals and long may it continue.”
When asked in Tuesday's press conference if it was worth betting on him as top scorer, however, he was sat firmly on the fence: “You can do what you want!”
Kane's otherwise successful run-out with England was marred by a penalty miss, but he believes it will not affect his confidence.
“No, of course it's not nice to miss a penalty. But I put a lot of work into them. I practice them a lot. It is the first one I’ve missed for a while," he told reporters.
“Look, I’m a striker and you are going to miss chances. It is just another chance. I missed one or two last season.
If you want to learn and get better, it is moments like that that you have to work on. But I will be there to step up for the next one.
“We have a lot of good penalty takers in the team. Obviously the skipper [Rooney], when he comes back, he normally takes them so we will see what happens in the next game.”
The Spurs star is also delighted to see so many of his team-mates alongside him in the England set-up after an impressive season at White Hart Lane.
“You train with each other every day during the season and obviously when you are on the field you have that understanding, especially with Dele [Alli in that position for the first goal," he said.
"It is great to have players who you play with week in, week out, in the England team but whoever is playing, we have a lot of great players in the side.”
