Manchester United stars set off for Wembley as Wayne Rooney and Co prepare for the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace
Manchester
United are well and truly in the FA Cup spirit as captain Wayne Rooney
and his team-mates arrived at Stockport station ahead of their crunch
final with Crystal Palace.
Rooney
and Co, who arrived at the club's Carrington training base on Friday
morning, were pictured at the station prior to boarding their train down
to London for their crunch clash at Wembley.
Manager
Louis van Gaal and his players will travel down by train and check into
the Wembley Hilton, just yards from the venue for Saturday's final.

Earlier
on Friday, the Premier League giants' new team coach was pictured
arriving at their training ground and will also make its way down to the
capital.
United's
mode of transport made the headlines this month when it was damaged
prior to the match with West Ham but it has undergone an overhaul ahead
of the clash with the Eagles.

The
match at Spurs started half an hour late after United hit congestion on
the nine-mile route from the Corinthia Hotel to White Hart Lane.
They
had more problems on the journey between the Hilton Canary Wharf and
Upton Park as the team bus was attacked by local fans throwing bottles,
causing the kick-off to be delayed.
But
United stayed at Wembley for the semi-final win over Everton and will
do so again ahead of their final against Alan Pardew's Palace.
Meanwhile,
Manchester United boss Van Gaal is aiming to win the FA Cup with
'beautiful' football but will settle for anything that brings the trophy
back to Old Trafford.

United
are favourites to see off Crystal Palace at Wembley in a repeat of the
1990 final that ended after a replay with Sir Alex Ferguson's first
piece of major silverware.
The
Red Devils have not added to their honours since the Scot's retirement
in 2013 and while Van Gaal is aware that United fans expect an
aesthetically-pleasing brand of football, he sees success as the main
priority.
Supporters
have been vocal in their disapproval of United's style at times this
season and will surely demand a stirring show to end the campaign.
'Of
course the starting point is to perform well, to win beautiful...to
score beautiful goals,' said Van Gaal. 'But a 1-0 win, for me, is also
enough because winning is the most important thing in a final.
'When you lose you have nothing.'
